ABOUT US & OUR HISTORY

Simply Personal began as a custom invitation and event planning studio in 2005. Founded on the ideals of creating a personal approach to planning and invitation design, the company quickly developed a reputation of high-level attention to detail, and building strong relationships of dependability and satisfaction with their clients.  By delivering beyond expectations, Simply Personal created an elite reputation as a top vendor referral in the Dallas/Fort Worth area by 2006. 

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the company quickly reached the international market by servicing clients across the country and worldwide.  The services included wedding planning, event space planning, high-end custom invitation design, and an economical print method of invitation design that eventually grew into the simplypersonal.com branded line.

When the economy turned in 2008, the company led by founder Susan Strauss, had the forethought and trendsetting experience to see an oncoming need of wedding clients. She began to strategize how to protect high quality products while being able to offer it to brides of all budget types, without sacrificing the personal attention every bride wishes to receive during her invitation process.

Simply Personal takes the sales approach online and lowers the cost to give each bride an opportunity to receive a custom invitation for a price that fits their budget. In January 2010 the consumer website was launched on a local Dallas/Fort Worth level and in May 2011 simplypersonal.com launched to the retailer market and went 100% wholesale.

Simply Personal is passionate about detail, diligent to please, and ambitious about creating new things.  The heart of Simply Personal is to provide personal attention and service to their clients and is whole-heartedly dedicated to delivering creative solutions and exceptional client service.

Six core values are the epicenter guide to every interaction with clients, retailers and vendors.  The six commitments are to VALUE, SERVICE, INTEGRITY, INNOVATION, EMBRACING CHALLENGES, and TEAMWORK.

This is the voice you most likely will be greeted by when you call Simply Personal. Courtney is a Houston native, and graduate from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. With a servant’s heart and incredible talent Courtney will make your Simply Personal experience smooth and enjoyable. Courtney is a paper guru and loves to exhaust all options to ensure your project is designed, produced and delivered exactly how you envisioned it. Courtney is loved by our suppliers, has strong leadership skills and has great knowledge of printing and all things paper.

During her college years, she interned for several churches which allowed her to develop a love for creatively leading and inspiring people. She also served as an English teacher in China where she developed a passion for culture and people of all nations. Her love for color, design, and creativity spawned out of a hobby where she began designing t-shirts, fliers, and business cards. Courtney joined Simply Personal May 2009.

Susan Strauss, Owner/Founder & Creative Director, CWP

Owner and creative director of Simply Personal, LLC is known nationally for her leadership, vision, and engineer-minded approach to all creative aspects and logistics. Susan graduated from Baylor University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art.  With a strong will to succeed at every project and always up for a challenge, she began traveling the world planning corporate destination events and meetings all over the globe. From New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Orlando, Dallas, LA, Prague, London, Paris and Spain to many more, this small town Texas girl could handle just about anything, in any location. Her normal day consisted of managing over 2,000 attendees and 21 staff, therefore; her mastermind of logistics is an art form in itself.

Quick successes and a personal experience led her to explore her passion for paper and design to minister to the stressed out bride. Not satisfied with the invitation options and lack of personality, she pursued her dreams of entrepreneurship and building a creative arts company in 2005 that would service clients in a way that would create true client/business relationships and satisfaction unseen by the industry, thus; Simply Personal was created.  Developing the six core commitments (value, service, integrity, innovation, embracing challenges and teamwork) as the foundation to Simply Personal, she has created an organization with the reputation of going above and beyond while keeping the client at the forefront of every decision.

Susan is a Certified Wedding Planner who is known for her creativity, organization, strong listening skills and overall care for the bride, the bride’s wishes, and the family. Bringing so much psychology into a project such as simplypersonal.com gives this company the extra edge of knowing what the bride really needs and desires.
